National Museum in Krakow – Princes Czartoryski Museum. Monastery
Completed 2023
This exhibition presented us with a significant challenge.
We were entrusted with nearly forty historical display cases, each over 150 years old, which have served their purpose since the Monastery was first repurposed as a museum by Prince Czartoryski.
Our job was to restore the original appearance of these cases while infusing them with a modern spirit by integrating advanced lighting systems, locking mechanisms, and glazing.
All work was carried out without altering the historic structure of the furniture, strictly adhering to conservation guidelines, and preserving their original appearance.
As part of the project, we prepared a comprehensive conservation plan and a modernization design for the display cases. For each case, we developed and supplied custom mounting systems. Additionally, we installed LED lighting controlled via a DMX system, fitted security glass with an anti-reflective coating, and implemented individually designed locking systems.
