Wawel Royal Castle – Display Case for the Szczerbiec

Although a relatively small commission, this was one of our most prestigious projects — designing and producing the display case for the Szczerbiec coronation sword, one of the most valuable artefacts in Polish history and the only surviving coronation insignia of the Piast dynasty.

The display case was crafted according to bespoke design specifications and built to meet high conservation standards, with airtightness rated at ACD < 0.4. It features LED lighting controlled via a DALI system, security glass with an anti-reflective coating, and a custom-selected locking mechanism.

We also developed the technical design and fabricated the dedicated mount for the sword.
